Mica Band, Ceramic Band & Mini Bar Heaters
Our Mica Band heaters are constructed with a mica core wound with wire. The core is then bent into a circle band. Leads are attached before the final outer sheaths are attached to complete the heater. Our Mica Band heaters can be installed directly onto barrel heaters without the requirement of initial heater removal. The Band heaters we manufacture are commonly used whenever heat is needed around the surface area of a pipe, tube or cylindrical vessel. They provide a fast-acting indirect heat that many industries, especially plastics, find perfect for their needs. There are three main types of band heaters: mica, ceramic and mineral-insulated. Our Band or Flat Heater, is sheathed in rust-resistance steel or stainless steel sheath as it provides physical strength and good thermal conductivity. Specially selected mica grade and thickness are used to insulate the windings, providing excellent thermal conductivity and dielectric strength. Ceramic band heaters transmit heat through both conduction & radiation. The ceramic core is housed beneath a stainless-steel sheet with serrated edges. This combined assembly of the Ceramic Band Heater offers a flexible heating system that works as an efficient transmission of conduction and radiated heat. Our Electric Mini bar heaters are very basic in the way they work. When they're turned on, an electric current flows through a specially designed resistive element. The resistance causes electrical energy to be converted to heat energy, which is radiated out.
